I was with you up until this point... so many writers try to hate on this book and it always just feels like an attention grab or "hot take." It's regarded as one of the all-time greatest books on the craft of writing... because it just is. I highlighted the entire book, and I'm a much better writer for having absorbed it's wisdom.
