I still really enjoy writing and publishing on Medium. However, I will say... sometimes it feels like I need to get a Masters Degree in Medium to figure out how to participate effectively.

I'm just trying to write things worth reading. When I pulled up the "partnering publications" link and saw theres like 10+ that start with A... I just felt like there is SO MUCH GOING ON HERE.

For those working at Medium, it's your full time job and you're thinking about the platform constantly... but don't forget that for most of us writers on here, it's just part of our life, part of our month.

Basically, more is sometimes less, and the way this platform has continuously changed over the past 3 years is completely overwhelming.

I got boosted two months ago on a piece about how I hate phone calls.... and was grateful, but I feel like its helpless to try and track all the changes and ways to improve engagement. I'm just going to keep writing quality stuff, cross my fingers while hitting publish, and hope what I share finds the right readers.
