Agreed! I really hate how Medium's monetization system encourages constantly publishing if you want to profit... there's really no way anyone can write insightful well-edited brilliant pieces multiple times a week. It's mostly just spinning the algorithm wheel and hoping it lands on "medium likes this one" ... and then you make some schekles in the end.
